Michael T. Wagner is the CTO and co-founder of ipolog GmbH and its spin-off SyncTwin GmbH, focused on bringing digital twin technology to smart factories. Since the late 1990s, he has worked on distributed virtual environments for applications ranging from manufacturing to Mars robotics. With ipolog, he helped create a leading SaaS tool for production logistics used across the automotive industry. SyncTwin now builds on this foundation to enable small and mid-sized manufacturers to enter the industrial metaverse using NVIDIA Omniverse with OpenUSD. Michael’s past roles include work at Daimler Research, NASA Ames, Fourth Planet Inc., and his own startup shared-reality.
