Robyn is a seasoned IT professional working with government, iwi (tribal), Māori and NGO sector clients. She is deputy president of New Zealand’s IT industry organisation, the Institute of IT Professionals, and is lead judge for New Zealand’s Hi-Tech Awards Maori category. She founded two technology companies – Paua Interface Ltd (2002) providing IT consulting services, and Incredible Skies (2017) undertaking drone research and development – and was the first Māori woman to gain a computer science degree in Aotearoa. When she is not spending time in the technology space she is an author of traditional Māori knowledge, and musical director of Māori-World fusion band Waitai – writing and recording music in te reo (Māori language) and playing guitar and banjo.
