Suzanne Boyd

Suzanne joined Taituarā in November 2023 as Chief Executive. Eager to drive change, she has already reshaped the organisation to be more member-centric and increased organisational focus on providing relevant services for its growing membership. Previously, Suzanne was the Chief Executive of Student Job Search (SJS), New Zealand’s largest recruitment service. At SJS, she transformed the organisation into a commercially minded, successful business, advancing its Te Tiriti journey and delivering better outcomes for students, employers, and stakeholders. This role sparked her passion for the not-for-profit sector within a membership organisation. Joining Taituarā is Suzanne's first foray into the local government sector, a challenge she embraces wholeheartedly. She has a commercial background in learning and development, banking, and recruitment, having managed a multinational recruitment firm in finance, accounting, and banking across Asia Pacific. Suzanne is driven by a sense of purpose in the not-for-profit sector, enjoying giving back to the community. Outside of work, she enjoys golfing, walking her miniature schnauzer, paddleboarding in Wellington Harbour, and mountain biking. Suzanne is also excited to explore the outdoors with her newly purchased campervan.
